Paragraph

"From my welcome call to my year of working with McKenna, I have felt so incredibly supported. The accountability aspect was most important to me since I had issues with sticking to any plans/habits I was trying to develop. I looked forward to my weekly check-ins because of the wealth of knowledge and encouragement I received. My relationship with food and exercise completely transformed in a way I didn't know was possible after just a year. I eat out now without any guilt while still making healthy choices and enjoying the "fun" foods in moderation. I move my body out of enjoyment and love for myself, and I still get excited to hit the gym and see how I can improve my strength."

"I was pretty sedentary near the end of nursing school, I took my dog out but never exerted myself seriously. After leaving a toxic relationship I lost 45 pounds naturally through diet and strenuous exercise. But after Covid, the weight crept up some after my wedding and I just wanted to feel strong and fit. Now I can say I walk a minimum of 10k steps a day, & I lift consistently 3 times a week . As far as my relationship with food - I grew up with very poor relationshops with food and poor access to healthy choices, I was an extremely overweight child and developed a binge eating disorder. Through working with McKenna I have changed drastically and worked through a lot of my past traumas surrounding food, and though I will never be "cured" completely, I now have the resources to tackle the issues at hand. I can't thank her enough for giving me the power to control my health and fitness journey!"

"I loved working with McKenna, who is a fabulous coach. I loved watching how consistent work and sticking to a plan worked its magic. I also learned new things almost every day. I am very proud of the consistent hard work I put into the program, which resulted in making me the strongest, leanest, most sculpted that I've been in my entire life. Honorable mention goes to new-found confidence as well as efficient digestion!"

"I had no relationship with food before I joined. Now I understand what's good for me, and that it's absolutely okay to indulge sometimes, and that all will not be lost. I am much more relaxed about not being perfect all the time. For the longest time I though that, if i'm not perfect, there's just no point in doing it in the first place. That is of course total nonsense and was a convenient excuse to stop (dieting or whatever). I have also fallen in love with my gym and everyone in it, I never thought a gym could ever be my safe space, but it is. Getting a coach and joining the gym have been two of the best decisions I have made in my life."

"Working with coach McKenna was such a gift. She was always really supportive and encouraging and I looked forward to her input each week. I'm most proud of the balance I was able to achieve over the last 2 years. I don't have an all or nothing mindset anymore. I know I can go away for a week and be in tune with my body and then just hop into my usual routine when I get home. It's just become second nature at this point. Also, I was able to reduce my LDL by over 20 points which was really exciting. I have a strong family history of coronary artery disease and limiting my risk factors early in life is important. I wanted to improve my all or nothing mindset and my body image. I also wanted to feel my best for my wedding. I definitely was able to achieve all of the above. I have a good balance in my life with my fitness routine. I don't feel pressure to do things perfectly, just give my best effort each day, whatever that might mean. My best effort today might look different tomorrow and that's ok. I also just feel more at peace with my body. I went into my wedding feeling great last year and was really able to live in the moment and not be worried about how I might look."
